About SonRise Seventh-Day Adventist Church
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a global community of over 19 million people—more than a million of them right here in North America—united by faith and a desire to make the world a better place. At the heart of it all is a simple but powerful message: Jesus is coming back soon.
Adventists believe in one God made up of three distinct but united persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. They believe Jesus made salvation possible by coming to Earth as a baby in Bethlehem, living a life without sin, and following God’s will perfectly. When Jesus was crucified and rose again three days later, He won victory over sin and death—and He did it for everyone.
After His resurrection, Jesus returned to heaven, but He didn’t leave us alone. The Holy Spirit stayed behind to guide, comfort, and encourage us. And here’s the best part: Jesus promised He’s coming back to finish His plan and take His people to heaven. Adventists live in anticipation of that amazing day.
But it’s not just about waiting—it’s about living well now. Adventists believe that God cares deeply about the quality of our lives. That means everything we do—how we eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the planet—matters to Him. Our families, friendships, jobs, talents, money, and time are all gifts, and how we use them is part of God’s bigger plan.
So, being an Adventist isn’t just about beliefs—it’s about action, purpose, and hope for a future where love and justice win. And that’s something worth looking forward to.
